Metal Poses in Inappropriate Places

Welcome to Issue 1 of "Metal Poses in Inappropriate Places".
Feel free to send us pictures of your 'poses in places' to tgfblog@gmail.com
There's a prize for the best ones sent in. It will be sick.

For Issue 1 Doran starts us off with a tour of Milan.........

Milan Made Me Wet.

Milan rules.
Its hot, the people there are nice, the crowds go off the hook, the coffee make my eyes hurt in the way that only good coffee can and the Paninis flow like the water of the Lambro River.

Apart from being one of the hottest gigs we have played in quite awhile (in terms of heat, and murphy's new moves....) the gig we played for "London Loves" is top of my list for fun. By half way through the second tune we had a healthy pit going (in a dance club!), this only got better as i witnessed for the first time someone crowd surfing using just 2 of his mates for support and the head of an unfortunate female bystander. Good work!
Thanks to all those who came, especially the 2 kids at the front with our t-shirts who sand our entire set back to us, and the briliant promoters that looked after us so well during our stay and showed us where to buy the best ice cream i have ever had the good fortune to drip down my front. Boom.

News Nu's Noo's Nhoes

Yes. We have been keeping a slightly low profile for a while due to writing the ultimate KICK ASS album. The kinda shit that keeps you awake at night like some kind of filthy pervert twitching the curtains in his string vest and soiled pants.
We WILL release another single in the foreseeable future, and definately have a few dance floor killers comin your way... and some sexy ballads.... slow jams???
We've also been busy remixing and have an awesome filthy re-jigg of Outcry Collectives - New Franchise Mess. Its gonna be off the scale.
In the meantime, check out our dates on our page and come see us play.... I hear the HOX TO DOT is gonna fucking hot!

The lady at Luton Pizza Express is a VERT crude woman

We played Club NME in Luton last week and had lots of big bastard fun. I bought a chicken a stick, had one bite and thought I was gonna hurl.... so, after the smell of it had almost made everyone else in the car hurl, should we have been surprised that when offering the remaining chicken on a stick to Barney that his eyes would light up like a small child reunited with its parents after being kidnapped, gagged, ***** (is that inappropriate?) and released ONLY when the ransom had been handed over? No, and thats why we love him.
Anywrrrr, check a review of our show by clicking the inside of barneys stoumach;

Nike Dunk Be True Exhibition

A couple of months ago Doran was asked by Carri Mundane (Cassette Playa) to be a part of the nike dunk be true exhibtion.
It was on show till the 27th of April at the Loading Bay Gallery in Brick Lane with a whole load of other portraits taken by Neil Bedford, and illustrated over by Kate Moross.

This is what the people in charge say about it;
"The exhibition brings to life the impact of the dunk and conveys London's current and increasing commitment to self expression through style, through colour and through collaboration," explains a spokesman for the label.
Here's a few of the other portraits featured in the exhibition;

Doran was also asked to design his own nike dunk..... but they didn't have a gold option so had to do his "kind of dream shoe".
Soon as he's aloud to go get it we'll post it!

Also, just found his picture is featured on the vogue website!

Death.... Classic thrash

Death were one of the first thrash / deathmetal bands. Enough said? Almost.
This clip is from 1987, live in Tampa, performing Scream Bloody Gore, from the album Scream Bloody Gore.
They were quite clearly a massive influence for bands like Slayer, and if you check the images of them from the inside cover of Scream Bloody Gore, you can see how much of an influence their awesome style was as well!

Enjoy

Bby brwn b4 da crck

Here's one of my childhood heroes lookin pretty fucking sick in his black rims and high top fade.

When I was about 10 years old, Ghostbusters 2 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the movie) blessed our screens, but even more still, blessed my ears with the sound of New Jack Swing. This was in about 1989.
New Jack Swing was a very commercial amalgamation of Hip-hop and R&B, and was pioneered by people like Teddy Ryley (who was famous for fronting Guy and Black Street), and Bobby Brown.
Bobby Brown (born Robert Barisford Brown, on February 5, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA) began in his early days with boy band New Edition.... but I don't give shit about that... what I really care about is the album Don't Be Cruel released in 1988.
Co-written and produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface, as well as Teddy Riley, Don't Be Cruel spawned five Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles: "Don't Be Cruel" (#8), "Every Little Step" (#3), "Rock Wit' Cha" (#7), "My Prerogative" (#1, subsequently covered by Britney Spears in 2004), and "Roni" (#3). The album would eventually be certified 7x platinum (7,000,000 units sold)(Yeah I know how to copy and paste from wikipedia).

This is the video for my FAVOURITE bobby brown song On Our Own from Ghostbusters 2... WITNESS YO!
